Central Park is a new mixed-use condominium and commercial development currently in pre-construction at 1200, 1210 and 1220 Sheppard Avenue East in Toronto, Ontario by Amexon Development and Heritage York Holdings Inc. This proposed high-density development will consist of five buildings and has a total of 1793 residential units with retail and commercial use space.
The Central Park development is on 12 acres of land that presently contains three office buildings. The one building at the south end is proposed to be demolished in order build the five new proposed buildings. The original proposal was for 6 buildings with 2,098 units and now has been reduced to 5 buildings with 1,793 residential units of which 696 are one-bedroom units, 989 are two-bedroom units and 108 are three-bedroom units. Total gross floor area is 194,249 square metres of which 2,619 square metres is retail use space and 27,638 square metres is commercial/office use space. The five residential buildings that are proposed will range from 21 to 39 storeys in height with podiums of 6 to 8 storeys in height. Three buildings will be 39 storeys in height (270 metres), the two buildings located in the centre will be 27 storeys in height (187 metres) and 21 storeys in height (145 metres). There will be 3,055 vehicle parking spaces proposed of which 2,453 are for residents, 180 are for visitors and retail uses and 602 for the existing office uses retained on the site. The 21 storey building will have a 5 storey base, the 39 storey buildings will have 6 and 8 storey bases and the 27 storey building will have an 8 storey base. R
"On March 26, 2013 the applicant submitted further revisions and these have been circulated to City Divisions and agencies for comments". The new revisions might be what CORE Architects Inc. has on their website which is: "Central Park is a large mixed-use development at Sheppard Avenue, just west of Leslie Street in Toronto by Amexon Developments and Heritage York Holdings which will consist of five building and 1,464 condo units to a maximum number of 31 storeys. Ten percent of the units will be a minimum of 1,000 sq.ft. and 335,845 sq.ft. has be designated for commercial use." It also states that the buildings will range from 12 to 31 storeys in height with a total gross floor area of 1,719,845 square feet.
Therefore, there may still be changes to this residential development proposal designed by CORE Architects Inc.for a mixed-use high-density development located by Leslie Street and Sheppard Avenue East in Toronto, Ontario.
